The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune has been organizing a conglomerate of events called aimed at providing an opportunity for students to exhibit their skills and technical creativity. since 12 years has been assisting collaboration between budding engineers and the industry. '09 was held on 20th, 21st & 22nd February 2009 on the M.I.T campus, organized by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), MIT collegiate branch and Association of Students of Mechanical Engineering (ASME).

We've grown over the years increasing the breadth of spectrum for participating students, by having events which are not only related to engineering but also with management, general knowledge, media, etc. Our events include Rally Mania, which is a RC Car Racing event, Paper Presentation, Product Development, Contraption and Cad Wars. Our non-technical events like Open Quiz, Gaming, and Sudoku also had huge participation. Last year we introduced two new events; Mind Your Own Business and Documentary Film Making. These two event saw a huge response from students all across the spectrum. '09 received tremendous response from students and industries and was a roaring success. It was attended by more than 2000 students from 80 engineering colleges from across Maharashtra and other states including prominent colleges like KIT,AIT,AISSMS, PICT, Cummins, SIT, COEP, MANET, BVP, Walchand COE, VJTI, K.K.Wagh COE etc.
