In light of the theme, this is across-over electronics event thatrequires you to build a line tracingrobot. Trace down the black and whitepath in the shortest time and put yourtechnical knowledge to a test. Simpleyet unnerving, this event is the newestaddition to Axlerate 2012 and we lookto broaden our horizon with it. •The robot should trace the path given without any manual control.•Maximum of 3 members per team are allowed.•Once the team takes the track, the time taken for making the alterations on the robot will also be accounted. •The robot should fit in a square box of 25 x 25 cm.•The bot must use an on-board power supply. No external power supply will be allowed. Maximum 18 volt battery can be used.•The width of the track is 3 cm. •Only teams that finish the first round in a maximum of 3 mins will qualify for the next round. •If the members touch the bot during the run it will be considered as a handtouch. After a handtouch the bot will have to be placed back at the last checkpoint.•Points will be reduced proportional to the number of handtouches. •In the end the team that completes the track in the shortest time will win.•Each team will be allowed a trial/practice run on the track before the event starts. The teams can make adjustments to the sensors during this time.•Each team has to report at least 10 mins before the event starts.
